Checks and Balances on Your Strategy.
Every Month.

Monitor is a trusted third party measuring whether your strategy is working, from the outside and, with Monitor Plus, against the competition, for a fixed monthly fee. The dimensions on the card move before revenue does, so drift tends to surface while it is still early to correct. For owner-operated companies in ecommerce, wine, health and wellness, and elective medicine.

A Report Card for the Business

You already get a report card from your bookkeeper: the P&L, after the fact. This one grades the strategy itself, while there is still time to change it.

Whether your strategy is working

We measure from the outside, you get the report card

The recurring relationship, and the checks and balances on your strategy: a trusted third party measuring whether it is working, from the outside and against the competition, with the same instruments that produce the one-time read, pointed at change over time. Bookings and sales are lagging indicators; if the dimensions on the card are not improving, you can be relatively certain the business is not improving either. This is where the practice becomes ongoing: the same instruments, re-read every month, for as long as you want the read.

Monitor

The monthly report card on your own surface: search and AI visibility, reputation, discoverability, and the metrics tied to your next decision, scored the same way every month. Single-business view; the leading indicators that move before revenue does, so drift tends to surface while it is still early to correct.

Monitor Plus

Adds the cohort overlay, extending the check to the competition. You against four named competitors, scored on the same dimensions you are scored on, every month, so a strong month in isolation cannot hide lost ground. Plus specifically means cohort; additional named peers beyond the four are priced separately.

Where these stop: Monitor reads and reports; it does not put the CFO in the room or act on the findings. When the cadence keeps surfacing decisions you would rather not make alone, that is Advise, delivered as Engage.

Published Pricing, on the Page

Monitor is one of the few things we sell with a public price card, because the deliverable is the same every month. No scoping call required to know the number.

Monitor

$400/mo, or $4,000/yr

The monthly scorecard on your own surface, drift alerts when a dimension moves, and a monthly digest with one to three actions. The annual subscription includes the Wine Country Intelligence Report (the Discover Bundle).

Monitor Plus

$600/mo, or $6,000/yr

Everything in Monitor plus the cohort overlay: four named competitors scored on the same dimensions you are, every month, with written commentary on what moved and why. Commentary is AI-assisted and reviewed by Scott before it ships; see How We Use AI. The annual subscription includes the Wine Country Intelligence Report (the Discover Bundle).

These are the published prices for the wine practice. For ecommerce, health and wellness, and elective medicine, Monitor is scoped on an Intro Call against your surface and your cohort. Subscriptions renew until cancelled; cancel online anytime, effective at the end of your current paid period. Annual plans run a 12-month initial term: cancel within 30 days of a charge and we refund pro-rata for unused months; cancel later and the subscription stops at the end of the term without a refund of the remainder. Prices are subject to a standard annual adjustment of up to 10% at renewal, with at least 30 days notice. See Subscription Terms and Refunds.

The First Rung of the Ongoing Relationship

Nothing here is a dead end. Monitor is where the practice becomes ongoing, and each rung above it keeps everything below. For the full picture, from the one-time reads to the retainers, see how the whole practice works.

Monitor

The foundation. The monthly report card on your own surface: the leading indicators, read from the outside, before the results reach revenue.

Monitor Plus

Adds the cohort overlay: you against four named competitors, scored on the same dimensions, every month.

The rung above is Advise, delivered as Engage: the same cadence with a CFO working the decisions alongside you, and Monitor Plus running underneath.

The Measurement Is Published, Not Promised

Monitor did not start as a pitch deck. We built the measurement in wine and published it: the Wine Country Intelligence Report benchmarks every tracked winery in Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties, quarter after quarter, on the same dimensions Monitor scores monthly.

Monthly

Monitor re-reads your surface against the same benchmark every month

Monitor tells a winery which side of that line it is on, every month, and what moved. The same engine reads any business Monitor is pointed at; wine is the proof, not the limit. View a sample Monitor Plus briefing (PDF) →

The Same Report Card, Tuned to How Buyers Find You

The scorecard dimensions are horizontal. The queries, the touchpoints, and the cohort are not; we tune the instrument to your market segment.

DTC & Ecommerce

Your brand's visibility across search, marketplaces, and AI answers, month over month, while paid acquisition costs drift. The card shows whether the organic side of the funnel is gaining ground or quietly losing it.

Health & Wellness

Prospective clients ask AI who to trust with their health before they ever call. The card tracks whether your practice is the one the answer recommends, and where the trust signals are thinning.

Elective Medicine

High-consideration decisions start with an AI question and end with a booked consult. The card tracks your visibility and reputation footprint across the surfaces a patient checks before they book.

A scorecard on your own surface: search and AI visibility, reputation, discoverability, and the metrics tied to your next decision, scored the same way every month. Plus drift alerts when a dimension moves and a monthly digest with one to three actions, so your team knows when and where to tweak in the month it matters instead of at the annual rollup.

An agency report is the vendor grading its own homework. Monitor is priced and delivered as measurement, not as a report on work we were paid to do: we measure from the outside, score the same dimensions every month, and the card says what it says. Scores come off the same rubric every month, computed the same way whether or not you buy anything else from us, and we do not adjust a score to reflect work we have been paid to do. That is the point of checks and balances.

No. We built and proved the measurement in wine, where we publish a quarterly benchmark of every tracked tasting room on the Central Coast. The same instruments read any business whose buyers start with a search or an AI question: ecommerce, health and wellness, and elective medicine run on the same cadence, tuned to how buyers find them.

The monthly digest names one to three actions, and your team can run them; Monitor is built to stand alone. When the cadence keeps surfacing decisions you would rather not make alone, the next layer is Advise: area-specific help with the work the card points at, and Engage, which puts a CFO alongside your team on a standing cadence with Monitor Plus running underneath.
